Weekend news reports from 95.3 FM and 1450 AM WJPA in Washington County. I fully construct newscasts for the station as a Saturday morning news anchor from 6 AM to 12 PM. If there is a high school or W&J Football game, I have a halftime newscast.

I also cover meetings at WJPA, here are some of my reports from town meetings around Washington County.

This was interview with Jesse Washington of ESPN’s The Undefeated. The interview took place before a panel discussion with the Pittsburgh Black Media Federation. The discussion talked about his time at VIBE and Blaze magazines as a music magazine editor. Plus his time with the Associated Press and more.

An interview with Fred McLoed Play-by-Play announcer for the Cleveland Cavaliers, graduate of Point Park University Class of 1974 visited Point Park’s brand new Center For Media Innovation, to talk about his career pursuits from Point Park to Detroit and his hometown Cleveland Cavaliers who at the time of this interview were the 2016 NBA Champions.

My story that I wrote for the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review and the Point Park News Service, Santas Find Holiday Gig Rewarding On Many Levels started with this interview.

Larceny is a radio drama series that I based off the Grand Theft Auto and Saints Row video game series. Episode 1 was the winner of the 2016 Intercollegiate Broadcasting Systems Award for Best Radio Drama.

Episode 2 was completed over the span of two months and is three times the length of the first episode.

These radio features were used for play on WPPJ Radio, where I held the News Director position at WPPJ.

The first feature was a story on the official opening of the Center For Media Innovation at Point Park University.

The second feature was a story on the decision of Colin Kaepernick to protest on racial inequality during the national anthem in 2016. The goal of the feature was to get opinions from different people. I talked to a black woman, two military veterans, a history professor at Point Park University and two PPU students. One a black man and the other a white woman.

The third feature is a story on the political rhetoric of the 2016 Presidental Election. I talked to Deano Pape of the National Speach and Debate Association about the heated debates between 2016 candidates Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. I also got the opinion of Point Park University President Paul Hennigan. I also asked them has there ever been an election like this and how this would set the stage for future electoral debates.
